It's officially Fall in
Sarasota and this last week-end we hosted the Fall Open NSCA
tournament at Sarasota Trap, Skeet and Clays. The temperatures
are getting milder, cooling off to about 90 degrees. You know
it has been a long hot Summer when you look forward to the
temperatures getting down to 90 degrees. And the shooting was
still red hot. Steve Nelson and Eric Stafford finished just
two shots apart at 93 and 91, respectively, with four others
within four shots of the win. Whew! Byron Teates and Bruce
Shackleford tied with scores of 82 in C class. It took three
rounds of a shoot-off before Byron Teates pulled ahead to edge
Bruce Shackelford by one shot for the win. Tim Macchi in E
class shot a very solid 74. At 13 years old this young man has
gotten better in a hurry. And he smiles a lot, which reminds
us why we all starting shooting sporting clays in the first
place. Because it is a heck of a lot of fun.
Thanks to all the
shooters. We appreciate your attendance.
Please note the date change for the October shoot, which is
now set for Saturday October 24th.
Look forward to seeing you there there.
